September, 2002 - SCR, Inc. releases beta version of ArgisPOS 6.0.  The new version will have a new "XP" look and feel.  Program functionality is almost identical to earlier versions, however many changes and enhancements were made to the core application and methods.  Changes include:

  • New color scheme with XP look and feel buttons.

  • Faster POS transaction building with less hard drive access.

  • Improved web polling and ftp data transfer.

  • Credit card processing module improvements.

  • New PDF creation engine.

  • Improved reporting and a compressed system balance report with more information requiring less printable pages.

  • Improved ASCII export capability allowing end-users to custom pick data for daily export.

  • Program EXE and DLL compression and encryption allowing applications to load faster across a network.

  • New web export option to allow detailed data to be transmitted to the internet for updating the new SQL Enterprise System and ArgisPOS Web Server System.

  • Touch-screen design enhancements.
